With the help of an amazing team of professionals commonly referred to as "Team Marsh Tacky," CMTO's horses and adventures been featured in countless magazines. We are committed to continue to carry our message worldwide and to offer hunting and ride along adventures with Team Marsh Tacky to members, corporate sponsors and those who wish to support CMTO's mission to preserve a valuable part of South Carolina's history.
We encourage you to explore our website to learn more about this fascinating breed of horse, its history and our mission.
You will soon discover why these small, wiry horses were the preferred mounts of the Spanish conquistadors as they explored the uncharted territory of the New World.
Today, the breed is critically endangered with a little more than 300 Marsh Tackies left. Through pictures, videos and stories, we hope that this website will provide an insight to that which we are so passionate about.
